Hey, Screens in Focus fam! Let's dive into last night's Golden Globes!
First off, major kudos to Steven Yeun for snagging the Best Actor award for "Beef." đ As a die-hard TWD fan, seeing him take home the gold feels like a personal victory! And can we talk about Jeremy Allen White's win for "The Bear"? đ„ The guy's on fire, from "The Iron Claw" to a Calvin Klein commercial â talk about a versatile talent!
But hold up, let's give a standing ovation to Lily Gladstone, who made history with a win for "Killers of the Flower Moon," delivering a beautiful and eloquent speech. Starting in SiksikĂĄ, she seamlessly transitioned to English, creating a moment of grace and celebration.
It was so entertaining witnessing Keiran Culkin's triumph for "Succession." His acceptance speech, coupled with the playful banter with Pedro Pascal, had us in stitches! đ€Ł These two definitely owned the spotlight.
And how about those presenters? Andra Day and Jon Batiste killed it! đ€ Best Original Score and Best Original Song had never been presented with such natural, fun chemistry. Total winners of the night!
And a special shoutout to "Barbie" for earning the first-ever Golden Globe award for cinematic and box office achievement! đâš The original song, (Golden Globe Win) by Billie Eilish, has become an earworm - I can't get it out of my head! đ¶
I must say, America Ferrara's presentation alongside Kevin Costner added a delightful touch to the evening. Their friendly conversation about her moving speech in "Barbie" truly resonated. đđŁïž
